Let there be light

Today's the day. Ever feel like that? Today is the DAY! It's like a jolt of energy has entered my body--like the glowy things from the 80's Coccon movie... ok, I'm dating myself. Anyway, today't the first day of VENIVIDI and I'm here because of you.

You are just like me. I get you. You have a restlessness in your soul-- a whisper that won't stop hissing. You're  meant to bring forth ideas, creations, art, beauty, innovation. You're a Creative. There's no point in denying it. To do so would be to deny your own humanity. Because, let's face it, the thing that sets humans apart from monkeys is our intentional drive to create beauty for its own sake. 

Opposable thumbs aside, the stirring in our soul that happens when we experience pure creativity is very much human and very much needed in our crazy mixed up world. We're meant to add to the collective energy of the world in a positive way. That's our raison d'etre. We NEED to do this.

Yet, many Creatives struggle to connect the dots between needing to create stuff and finding a way to make a living doing so. All that post-college adulting gets expensive, and if you're not careful, you find yourself suffocating in a cubicle working as a cog in the wheel of someone else's grand plan. I want more for you.

So, my mission here at VENIVIDI is to create a community of Creatives helping Creatives. We're paying it forward, backwards and sideways. We're going to arm you with the tools, forums, inspiration, and aspiration needed to make a living doing what you love. It won't be easy. But it'll be worth it.

I'm counting on you to help us make this what it needs to be. Participate. Ask questions. Offer advice. Brainstorm solutions. Share. We need you. And the world needs us.
